This is Sankhupushpi or sankhu pushpam in malayalam,(cletorea turnatea- scientific name) which is a medicinal plant used in Ayurveda, and old people used to say, these plants have magical powers to act against black magic and food poison used in black magic. The roots of this plant have that medicinal powers.

oh yes you should.. provided you have any chances to be a victim of black magic. In india, black magic is a common practice, and most of the people believe in it. so for Indians its a must I think...
