PPIn intimate Relationships
The little things are Big things...
On a seductive evening, I was listening to my friend over phone. With frustrating range problem, resulting breaking voice, I listened to stories of broken relationship
Human nature is complex like a tangled vine. I have never gone through tough mind blowing situations as some others may claim. Still i hope , I am good at making ,balancing and maintaining Relationships.
Life has revealed me some nuggets, by closely observing relationships in and around my circle.
KEEP IN TOUCH
I really wonder, how one of my intimate friend Kannan maintains relationships.. Wherever he go, he make friends, from six year olds to sixty year olds. Even after years he will be a friend for them always.seeking their help when he needs it, and rendering his help when they demand.
The secret was a simple thing. He contacts them at least once in a month, thus polishing the relationship and keeping it alive. I myself imbibed this quality from him, even though I am not so good as he is.
When I was enjoying a holiday sitting at home idle, I went through one of my old dairy, and I was delighted to see what I had recorded in 2oo5 july 24th sunday.
"Today I called Rajesh, my best friend when we were doing PGDCA, to his newly taken mob no which I got yesterday from his mother. Its after a long time we talk each other; and he was surprised by my call; and that was evident from his voice. I sensed out the disbelief for a few seconds, and regaining the momentum afterwards.I feel so sad after talking to him, because I missed him a lot. He was a very good friend of mine. His voice seemed to be sooo happy. Nothing has changed, the way he talks, the way he laughs untill we stopped talking as usual. I think he never expected me calling him."
So thats it, now we used to talk each other most of the week ends, gifting the warmth of friendship each other.
Sitting at the ravages of a relationship and lamenting is vain. The fissures can widen and become chasms. If you ever had a burning relationship once, I strongly believe, the embers will be still there.
A call, a message or a letter can act as a spark to ignite and blaze up... provided you discard your ego, because on the other end, your friend may also be holding his pride tight and once you do that, in most cases he will be attracted to you again, like a piece of iron to a magnet...
